While most people are likely to understand that an infection is an invasion of our body’s tissues by external disease-causing agents, we might not be aware of the nature of the infection. There are two types of infections that can occur to your skin, a bacterial or a fungal one.
Bacteria exists in and on our body, either as harmful or friendly strains. Not all bacteria are harmful, some do perform vital functions for our organs. Bacterial infections can also be sexually transmitted. The friendly bacterial strains that exist in our gut as probiotics process what we eat and aid digestion. The healthy propagation of probiotics do also boost our immune system to fight disease.
Infection occurs when bad bacteria or fungus accumulate forming colonies in your tissues causing it to become toxic. The treatment you seek for it causes these bacteria or fungus to die and they need to be flushed out of your body to enable recovery. Sometimes treatment can also cause healing crisis, which is a temporary discomforting but necessary step towards recovery depending on the type of bacterial infection that one is infected by.
Fungal infection, on the other hand, is caused by living organisms akin to yeast or mould (fungus) feeding on organic living matter making home where skin surfaces meet under moist conditions. Common areas where they do occur are between toes and in the genital areas. It is also possible to inhale fungal spores into the lungs and get a fungal lung infection if your immune system is weak.
Bacterial and fungal infections can occur from within your body or topically externally.

The natural high performance ingredients that we use also have very strong antiseptic antifungal and antibacterial properties to supplement this functional remedial purpose.
It serves as a purposeful natural remedy to treat infection in a gentle soothing manner.
USEFUL TIP: Botrem Restoractiv Encapsulating Body Wash can be effective in helping maintain good hygiene in trouble spots which can recur. After a shower or wash always dry skin effectively as a preventive measure to avoid moisture trapping between skin which can spur infection.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Droplet(s) can be used topically without water and is lotion like to treat and soothe affected topical skin areas or fused with water to become a wash.
For more serious skin conditions we have seen positive results when the fluid is firstly used to wash the affected areas (to unleash the skin protective film layer) and after drying, applying again extra droplet(s) for extra skin repair and hydration.
In some cases where flesh is exposed due to severity of infection, when applying the wash initially may cause minor stinging sensation for the repair process to begin.
